In the 4 years since we started out, Lanark Pool Company has gone from strength to strength, while maintaining our ethos of a small, top quality company, dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible service and 100% attention to detail. We are busy on a daily basis with service and maintenance work and providing clients with pool chemicals, accessories and spares. The majority of our regular clients now take advantage of our maintenance contracts, designed to fit their individual needs, whether it be monthly visits or bi-annually, and benefiting  from the priority service and convenience, not to mention the peace of mind which comes with taking out a service contract. We continue to have great feedback and ongoing recommendations from our clients, which is what it’s all about.  I like to think because we ensure we go the extra mile to make sure clients are happy and are confident in the service we provide. Reputation is everything, and to us, a job is certainly not worth doing unless it’s done properly and to the best of our abilities. This has led to very good relationships based on trust, and affords many of our clients the convenience of leaving us keys so they don’t have to take time out of their busy schedules to supervise the pool engineers.

We have added an engineer to our team, bringing with him much practical experience and many years of maintenance work, and he is also a great asset to our team, being very flexible in his overall approach to the work we undertake. It has been a steep learning curve for all as, with all small businesses, we each have to understand as fully as possible, the roles of the others, and be prepared to “muck in” in areas which haven’t previously been our domain. This hasn’t only been good for broadening our personal & professional horizons, but has ensured we have formed a fully co-ordinated team which functions efficiently across all the areas.

As well as service work, we have undertaken 6 renovation projects on domestic pools, one complete renovation of a hydrotherapy pool for a brain injuries unit, a new sauna and refurbishment in a hotel health club, 4 new build pools and a complete new spa area in a high end domestic setting. The refurbishment projects have included structural repairs to pool tanks, re-sizing and altering pool depth, changing a pool from freeboard to decklevel (overflow), re-rendering & waterproofing, replacing pool liners, re-tiling pools, deck areas, changing rooms & pool halls, replacing & upgrading plant and updating systems to incorporate new technology. The overall finished effect can be anything from a general facelift, to a total change in the way the water treatment system operates, allowing for more efficient water disinfection while reducing the chemicals needed, and thereby making swimming a more pleasant experience for our clients. Our new build projects have included both small & large domestic pools, tiled and liner finishes and installation of a one-piece pool, as well as additional features such as saunas, steamrooms & spas.

As we see the start of spring 2014, we are working with clients on planning 2 further new build projects and concentrating on further expanding the service & chemical sales side of the business.
